OK I snagged these two shots from the site because the captions for them made me really, really excited.
Because honestly let’s get real here.
The relationships we had with our Pokemon in the previous games were surprisingly lacking. Sure, in HG/SS we got to walk around with our Pokemon and see them dance or roll in the grass, but otherwise friendship’s function only really influenced a few things, mainly evolution, a few moves, and the ability to get a few ribbons.
We never really saw anything relating to how close our Pokemon was to us in a way beyond some ratings or a few devices or cues in the games that showed how much they liked their trainer. So in my opinion the fact that bonding through Pokemon-Amie can get them to do things like look at you while waiting for directions in a fight opens up a HUGE can of possibilities with what they’ll do.
Will the bond’s strength affect their accuracy in battle? Will it affect how often they’ll hurt themselves or overcome confusion in a fight? There’s so many other things on my mind but this just makes me really, really excited to see something like this finally put into the Pokemon games because now we can see actual results of bonding with our Pokemon besides some handful of dialogue from a rater in somehouse.
I want a night
with you.
I want to close
the curtains.
I want to lay in bed
and feel you breathing.
I want the only noise
to be my inhale
replying to your exhale.
I want to trace my fingers
along every line and curve
of your back.
I want to feel your face
buried into my neck.
I want to lay like this
and feel every worry
melt
the same way that I melt
when I am with you.
